As for sound, this call’s got it all. You can get those deep, raspy tones or hit higher-pitched notes with ease. It works great in different weather, whether it’s windy or wet. It’s easy enough for a beginner to pick up but has enough depth for someone more experienced to really fine-tune it.
Out in the field, it performs like a champ. It brought ducks in close, and I was impressed with how well it held up to rough conditions. It’s a very well built call but be prepared to make a new reed for it. The reed in the one I got was to short and sounded more like a kazoo then a duck so I just cut one out that’s longer and tuned the call.
